Who are SUKBOG?

SUKBOG (Suzuki United Kingdom Bandit Owners Group) are a bunch of Bandit riders from the United Kingdom with a common interest in their bikes, technical issues, motorcycling life, and of course having fun. We have no official ties with the Suzuki Motor Corporation, any of it's affiliated organisations, or other motorcycle clubs.
Any Bandit rider from the UK can join, but you'll have a lot more fun if you also posess a good sense of humour and an open mind. We recommend that subscribers to the various email lists are aged 18 or above since messages are unmoderated and can sometimes contain harsh language.

Why?

The aim behind SUKBOG is to encourage Bandit riders across the UK to share technical knowledge as well as other experiences both online and in person. This has been very successful so far, with a great number of people subscribing and upon realising that there's someone 'just around the corner' geographically speaking. This leads to small meetings, rides, parties ... just have a look in the Gallery! (For details of upcoming events also see the Diary)

How does it work?

The group started as a few people subscribed to the same internet email list, which grew to upwards of a hundred people within a few months. This lead to such an increase in the amount of messages that it was becoming difficult for people interested in the technical content to filter out all the off-topic messages, which in turn lead to a number of people leaving. In order to please everybody, the original list has been split into three separate lists, each of which is described below. Members may subscribe to one or all of these lists, all that we ask is that the guidelines for each particular list are observed, especially with regards to the content. Please note that you need to add the words Off Topic to the subject line if you're sending a message without bike / bike lifestyle related content.

This mailing list is a place where moderators post information regarding upcoming events or issues pertaining to the setup of the internet portion of SUKBOG. Being an announcement list, only moderators can post messages, and members are encouraged to subscribe to this list if nothing else due to the expected low volume of traffic and it's important content.
